Hanging By A Moment

I’m closer to where I started chasing after you.

Blackout. Well, more like a wipeout. Heh. As soon as you got hold of free invites (thanks to N), you eagerly asked I out to this middle-of-the-road lifestyle and clothing brand’s underwear show last Friday night. “Bakya na kung bakya,” you told him. You just had to 1) see what it’s all about, and 2) go out and worry about nothing but to have fun. No better date for that than I, and frankly you’re not sure if you can pull off lining up for something as tacky as an underwear show if the date’s less than him. True enough, even if the show is kinda crappy (your seats were crappy, whaddaya expect, you can’t even appreciate the models’ figures from afar much more recognize their faces) and even if you didn’t see Fafa P (but Fafa S was there, pwede na), having I to laugh and groan with you made the late night in Cubao worth it. :)

Jason Wade, supposedly. Hanging by a moment. So you get to cross another item off your ultimate to-do list: to hear your favoritest band perform live. Ghad, JW!!! You were mooning already even before they entered the stage and sang their opening song “Make Me Over”. They played mostly songs from their latest album (and you thought it was a You and Me tour), but you were content naman with the old favorites like “Spin”, “Hanging By A Moment”, “You and Me”, “Simon” and of course, “Blind”. Again, OA, but you almost burst into tears when they sang the latter with “Take Me Away” because you prayed so hard they wouldn’t -along with “Somewhere in Between” and err, you know, their banner, “Everything”. Basta, sabihin nalang natin na overly sentimental ka lang talaga. You have to admit though that you were a little disappointed they didn’t include in their set the song “Breathing”. Grabe yun ha, when they did “Bridges”. Or “Somebody Else’s Song”.

Anyway cliché: it was a night to remember. It’s been so long since you’ve gotten teary eyed with excitement over an event and even if you’re not 100% sure the company enjoyed, you’re glad there are still people willing enough to indulge you to partake in these certain happy, happy times.

Sabi nga ni Chris,

Happiness is only real when shared.

Sana nga lang wish din nung tao na i-share yung happiness mo di ba. Sigh.
No regrets. Kahit hindi patron. :)

We discover who we are. You’re better now. You’ve somewhat come into terms with who you both are. You’ve begun to accept that you’re mere plugs to some voids -after (or because of) everything you’ve been through, you still fill a need in each others’ lives. And though those needs may be different, and at times cumbersome or even painful to realize, you can never deny how he has been ingrained as a part of your existence. A piece of your puzzle. A particle of your air. A light of your past…

Sabi nga ni Alex kay Jonathan, kahit anong mangyari,

I will always be along the side of your life. And you will always be along the side of mine.

Awwness… Kamusta naman ang mga pag block quote.

I’m falling even more in love with you
Letting go of all I’ve held onto
I’m standing here until you make me move
I’m hanging by a moment here with you…

P.S. It seems at this point, wala ka na talagang magagawa gagawin kundi huminga.
